Beyond Moving
When a young Siphe November leaves his small township in South Africa to follow his dreams at Canada’s National Ballet School, he begins a remarkable journey that reveals deeply personal pulses of family, prejudice, expectation, loss, and resilience that beat beneath the surface of a beautiful and demanding art form. Growing up in Zolani – a segregated township outside Cape Town, South Africa – Siphe is surrounded by his family’s love for dance, but his extraordinary potential becomes clear when he and his brothers start dancing with their first teacher, Fiona Sutton.

We're Staying Jaw-some!
This Was Our 2019 Marquee for Our 10th Anniversary Presentation
Our annual Retro-Mania showings of Jaws are a lot of fun but not
without some horror behind the scenes. We purchased a 35mm collectors
print of Jaws years ago. It was in very rough condition and actually
made up from 3 different prints and film stock. Three of the reels were
IB Technicolor with spectacular color but badly scratched.
Two other reels were Fuji color but shifting to a purple color as Fuji tends to
do. The other remaining reels were faded to orange Eastman color
stock. So our first showing of Jaws was a mixed bag. Great to see Jaws
on the big screen but "we gotta get a better print!"
So the following year, at great expense we found one! This print was all
beautiful IB Technicolor in very good condition! It was however missing
a few seconds here and there.
Luckily, most of those seconds were intacton the original print.
The job was to select the exact missing footage right to the frame and
splice it into the newer print. We also invested in a film cleaning
system which we use on all our prints.
We are proud to show this
original 35mm print every year to a growing fan base of the movie
Jaws! It's awesome to watch Jaws on the big screen in 35mm with other
enthusiastic fans!
